Anaesthesia

Anaesthesia has traditionally meant the condition of having sensation (including the feeling of pain) blocked or temporarily taken away. This enables our specialists to perform medical procedures painlessly for people in our care.

At Quay Park Specialist Day Hospital, our Consultant Anaesthetists provide services including sedation through to full anaesthesia during operations. They also provide comprehensive forms of pain relief that are specific to the procedure being performed and to each patient.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is performed to correct a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.

Our Paediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. They have the experience to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood.

Paediatric surgery is a subspecialty of general surgery, a branch of medicine that deals with children from their infancy to their teenage years.

Paediatric Urology involves the surgical management of genital and urinary problems that occur in children.
