Specialist training

Richard is a UK trained Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Auckland. He qualified with distinction in both Medicine & Dentistry and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS).

During his training Richard gained experience in neurosurgery, plastic surgery and ENT surgery before undertaking higher specialist training in surgery of the Mouth, Jaw & Face (Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery).

His medical and surgical training were completed in London, UK and he trained within several prestigious London units including King’s College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital, St. George’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital.

Richard then travelled to Melbourne, Australia and completed an advanced fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery (Corrective Jaw Surgery) and Facial Trauma Reconstruction before moving to New Zealand.
