During your stay

During your stay with us, we will endeavour to make you as comfortable as possible. Please let our staff know if you need anything or have any questions during your stay. We are here for you.

We do ask that you show courtesy to other people in our care by limiting noise and the number of visitors seeing you at any one time to reduce noise on our wards.

During your stay

Staying overnight

If you are staying overnight with us, we will aim to discharge you home by 11:00am the day you are scheduled to go home. We recommend you organise transport home for this time in advance. If this is not possible you are welcome to wait in any of our patient or visitor lounges. If you wish to remain in your room after 11:00am on the day you are leaving, please discuss this with the Nurse Manager the day before.

Your specialist will have given you some idea of how long you will need to stay after your operation. The nursing staff in our Day of Surgery Admissions will discuss this with you on admission. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.

If you are staying for one of more nights, visiting hours are flexible, which you can arrange with your nurse, however we do require all visitors to depart by 8:30pm.

You have a right to limit your visitors, or to not have visitors at all. Please talk to your nurse to arrange this.
